ChaoJen (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects and protects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the TA mobile application (the “App”) collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.
By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
To use the App you create an account with Firebase Authentication, using one of:
You can link or unlink Google and Apple sign-in in Settings, as long as at least one sign-in method remains.
When you complete a quiz, the App stores the result in your account:
Only you can read your full results. While a quiz is in progress, your answers so far are saved on your device so that you can continue later.
A summary of your latest result (the five category scores, the pattern, and the date, without individual answers or titles) is also stored so that the friends feature can compare it (see Section 3).
If you use the friends feature, you can set:
When you set a nickname, the App creates a random friend code for you. Others can add you by entering your friend code or scanning your QR code. We also store your friend list and the status of friend requests.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in your nickname, bio, or photo.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, for example:
We do not attach your email address, name, or account identifier to analytics data.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and error diagnostics, which may include the stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, and an installation identifier. Crash reports are not linked to your email address or account.
The App shows ads through Google AdMob: banners on some screens, a full-screen ad after you complete a quiz, and a full-screen ad when you open the App (only after you already have at least one result). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect:
On iOS, the App asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before the IDFA can be used. If you decline, AdMob cannot access the IDFA and serves ads without tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent through Google’s consent message before requesting ads. You can consent, decline, or choose specific purposes, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options.
You can also reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device’s settings.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data. Apart from the advertising data that AdMob collects as described in Section 1.7, we do not use your data for advertising.
The App has no public feed or search. What others can see depends on how they are connected to you:
Other users never see your email address, your individual answers, your result titles, your older results, your analytics data, or your crash reports.
Your profile photo is stored with a link that is hard to guess; anyone who obtains that link can view the image.
The App uses the following services, which process data on our behalf. We recommend that you also review their privacy policies:

We do not share your data with any other third party, except as required by law (see Section 5).
We share your data only:
Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the database and file storage is restricted by Firebase Security Rules: only you can read your full quiz results and change your profile, and only you and your friends can read your latest-result summary. Firebase App Check helps ensure that requests come from the genuine App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to access or correct your data. To exercise them, contact us at the address below.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by the laws of your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Because our service providers operate servers in several countries, your data may be transferred to and processed in a country other than your own. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page, and for material changes we may also notify you within the App.
