ChaoJen (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects and protects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use the Nmhrgk mobile application (the “App”), as well as the rights you have.

By downloading, registering for, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Identity Information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we obtain and store the following through Firebase Authentication:

Unique user identifier (UID)
Email address
Display name and avatar provided by the sign-in service (if available)

When you use “Sign in with Apple” and choose to hide your email address, we only receive the relay email address provided by Apple.

1.2 Profile Information

Content you actively create or edit:

Display name and username
Profile picture / avatar
Bio / self-introduction

1.3 User Content

Data you create while using the App:

Chanting / meditation records (time, duration, history)
Prayer goals (title, content, public or private setting)
Companion relationships (friend connections you establish with other users)

1.4 Camera and Photos

Photo library: When you set an avatar, the App accesses your photo library, with your permission, to let you select a photo.
Camera: When you scan a companion’s QR code to add them as a friend, the App uses the camera with your permission.

We only access these features when you actively use them, and we do not access the camera or photo library continuously in the background.

1.5 Purchase Information

The App offers premium subscriptions. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we do not collect or store your credit card or payment account information. We only receive your subscription status (whether it is active and its expiration date) in order to provide the corresponding features.

1.6 Device and Usage Analytics

We collect de-identified usage statistics through Firebase Analytics, which may include:

Device model, operating system version, language, and region settings
App usage behavior (number of launches, feature usage, crash events, etc.)
Approximate region (estimated from IP address, without precise location)

1.7 Advertising Identifier (if applicable)

On iOS, the App may access the advertising identifier (IDFA) to provide personalized ads after requesting your consent in accordance with App Tracking Transparency (ATT). You may decline, and you can change this at any time in the system Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and improve the core features of the App (sign-in, records, goals, companions, etc.)
Display your profile and public goals to your companions according to your privacy settings
Process and verify your subscription status
Analyze usage to improve product experience and stability
Prevent abuse and protect the security of backend resources through Firebase App Check
Provide personalized ads where you have given consent
Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, and some of your data will be processed by them. We recommend that you also review their privacy policies:

We only share your data in the following circumstances:

With your consent or according to your settings: For example, if you set a goal to “public,” your companions can see that goal; your profile (display name, username, avatar, bio) is visible to users who can search for you or who are your companions.
Service providers: Such as the third-party services described above, which process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services.
Legal requirements: To comply with the law, a court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, and the related facilities may be located outside your country or region.
We retain your data for as long as your account exists.
After you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), field validation and access control through Firestore Security Rules, and Firebase App Check. However, please understand that no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access and correction: You can view and modify your profile information within the App.
Deletion: You can delete the records and goals you created within the App, or delete your entire account. When you delete your account, the associated personal data is removed as well.
Withdrawal of consent: You can change camera, photo library, tracking, and other permissions in the system Settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by the laws of your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us and we will delete it as soon as possible.

9. International Data Transfers

Because the cloud services we use (Google Firebase) may operate in multiple countries or regions, your data may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your location. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When there are material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. We recommend that you review this Policy periodically.
